Allied for Equality is a joint project of Equality Illinois (EQIL) and Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG) - Northern Illinois PFLAG Council.
The mission is to secure EQUAL rights for all LGBT individuals and celebrate the diverse race, age, disabilities, gender, sexual orientation or ethnicity of everyone who helps in this struggle. The focus is on creating a network of advocates in Illinois (grassroots/netroots style), concentrating on straight allies. If you want to DO something in the struggle for LGBT rights instead of just sitting on the sidelines, become part of Allied for Equality!
The goal is to have 5 strong straight allies in each state representative district in Illinois.
